 The THL was founded in 1960 by [[THL Notable People|Rey Marcotte]] in [[Trowburgh|Trowburgh, Lismane]] along with six owners who all desired to better organize professional hockey in Torland. Joining Marcotte were Wayne Leyva, Seymour Duval, Claud Elam,  Don Giordano, Leo Rankin, and Bernard Willard.
