The Narva Neptunes are a professional hockey team based in Narva, Forstana. They compete in the Torland Hockey League as a member of the Hatch Division. The team is owned by Tony Blackwood and plays their home games at the Crown City Center.
Founded in 1960 by Bernard Willard as the first incarnation of the Kirlow Kodiaks, the Neptunes have won 2 Marcotte Cup championships (1976, 1978).
The fanbase in Narva is a steady one. They have a strong core contingent of superfans that help drive the team and team culture. Narva is known for having close relationships with their players on and off the ice, a unique piece of culture in the Crown City. Narva tends to strive to remain close-knit in their community and are not supportive of outsiders or players who don't embrace their culture.
A notable superfan is motorcycle daredevil “Dead” Ned Delhart, who races under owner Tony Blackwood's banner in Blackwood Motorsports. Dead Ned is a beloved figure in Narva and can often be found down near the ice and player's benches during home games. His likeness even inspired the Neptunes' rebrand in 1981.
The Neptunes are currently owned by Tony Blackwood, who purchased the team in 1981 from Harlan Durant, who, in turn, purchased in team in 1965 from Bernard Willard, who founded the team in 1960 in Kirlow.
The Neptunes play their home games at the Crown City Center in Narva, Forstana.
The Neptunes' colors are dark green, bright blue, and white.
The Neptunes are affiliated with the Narva Imperials of the Langlois Independent Hockey League.
